PATNA: Grief-stricken sisters tied ‘rakhi’ (safety band) on the wrist of their dead brother today a day after he was shot dead by armed criminals.
Senior BJP leader Ashok Jaiswal was killed on Wednesday evening in the Golapur locality of the state capital while was seating at a rice shop.
Police believe ‘love marriage’ in the family could be the reason behind his cold-blooded killing.
According to police, victim’s son Akash Jaisawal had entered into inter-caste marriage with the daughter of Rishideo Singh in the locality last month, leading to tension between the two families.
Police have arrested two persons in this connection.
Today, the wailing sisters of the victims tied ‘rakhis’ on the wrist of their dead brother before his body was taken away for cremation.
Hundreds of BJP workers and leaders joined his funeral procession today.
