Two terrorists killed as Pampore encounter stretches over 50 hours

Pampore, Kashmir: The Army on Wednesday said it has killed two terrorists holed up in a Government institute as the gun battle stretched for over 50 hours.

Reports said one terrorist was killed today while another was gunned down yesterday.

The Army are now looking for a possible third terrorist inside the Entrepreneurship Development Institute building.

The terrorists had sneaked inside the building on Monday evening and since then the gun battle has been on with the Army.

According to an NDTV report, over 50 rockets, machines guns and hundreds of grenades have been used against the terrorists.

A soldier was injured in the initial firing after the terrorists entered the building.

The reports quoted officials as saying that the e encounter has stretched on because the building offers a “bunker-like” protection.
