Security beefed up for pilgrims, Buddhist shrine in Bihar after arrest of two ‘terrorists’

PATNA: Police in Bihar have arrested two suspected terrorists believed to have links with Ai-Qaida.

Both the suspected terrorists identified as Taushif Ahmad Khan and Sunny Khan alias Shehanshah were arrested from a cycle café located in Rajendra Nagar locality of Gaya district on Wednesday night.

One of the arrested terrorists Taushaif is suspected to be involved in 2008 Ahmadabad bomb blasts.

According to police, both had been rushing to the cycle café and sending confidential messages for some time. Police say they had been staying in Gaya after hiding their identity.

Keeping in view their arrest, the security of Hindu pilgrims reaching Gaya for offering ‘Pinddan’ to their ancestors during the ongoing ‘Pitripaksha mela’ as well as Mahabodi Temple in Bodh Gaya has been beefed up, reports said.
