Triple talaq: What leaders from Bihar have to say over SC verdict

PATNA: The Supreme Court in a landmark judgment today said the Islamic practice of triple talaq is “unconstitutional”, bringing a wave of joy among Muslim women across the country.

Lalu Prasad, RJD president: “I have not studied the Supreme Court judgment but none should be happy or disappointed.”

Rabri Devi (RJD), former chief minister: “I welcome the verdict. Now the centre should come out with a legislation in the better interests of Muslim women.”
