PATNA: Angry RJD legislators led by opposition leader in Bihar assembly Tejashwi Yadav today sat on dharna in front of statue of socialist leader Karpoori Thakur in the Bihar assembly premises, blaming the Nitish Kumar government to “hush up” the Rs 1,000 crore Srijan scam and protect the scamsters.
Yadav accompanied by his party MLAs rushed to the statue and sat on dharna soon after the Speaker adjourned the House following ruckus in the assembly over the issue.

“The government is trying to protect the accused persons involved in the scam and cover up the case by engaging its “favorable” officers in the investigation,” Tejashwi said in the House.
As the House was adjourned till lunch over the issue, he later went near the statue of late socialist leader and sat on dharna.
“The government should tell the masses who are the beneficiaries in the scam. Instead, it is trying to save the accused persons,” he told the media at the dharna site.
He also demanded resignation of the chief minister and his deputy saying the investigation couldn’t be impartial until they continue in office.
“Inpar sidhe taur par aarop lage hain. They should resign immediately,” he demanded.
