‘Sultan’ setback: Bihar court admits case against Salman, to issue summons soon

PATNA: This is really a very bad news for ‘Sultan’ Khan and his entire team.

A local court in Bihar today took cognizance of the case filed against Bollywood actor Salman Khan last week and announced to issue summon to the accused persons soon.

A local resident Mohammad Sabir Ansari had filed a case of fraud against Khan in the local Muzaffarpur district court.

In the complaint case, Ansari had alleged the entire movie was based on his personal life for which he was promised to pay a royalty of Rs 20 crore (Rs 200 million). However, the picture was released even without paying the royalty money.

“I discussed the story with Salman in Mumbai after which he agreed to make a movie based on my life. He promised to give me a royalty of Rs 20 crore but the picture was released even without paying my royalty,” Khan alleged.

Khan lawyer Sudhir Kumar Ojha said the case has been registered against the actor, actress, film director and other under various section of IPC, where the accused persons have been charged with fraud and breach of trust.

The film released on Eid continues its fantastic run at the box office, crossing Rs 100 crore (Rs One billion) mark in just three days of its release.
