Speeding goods train mows down eight villagers in Bihar


PATNA: At least eight villagers were killed after being run over by a goods train in Bihar on Sunday evening, according to media reports.

The incident took place near Sirari railway station on the Keul-Gaya railway section in Lakhisarai district.

As per reports, the victims were crossing a railway bridge to return home from a local market when a goods train suddenly happened to pass the route, mowing down at least eight passengers.

The victims included five males and three females. Senior officials have rushed to the spot.
