PATNA: The state government in Bihar is constructing godowns for storing seized liquor to save them from tipsy rats!
As per reports, the state government has planned to construct 47 such police godowns in each of 38 districts for storing liquor.
Four such special godowns will come up in Patna district alone. They will be constructed by the Bihar Police Building Construction Corporation, informed sources told thebiharpost.com.

The development comes after the poor rats were blamed for “partying” on confiscated liquor kept in police storerooms post alcohol ban in Bihar. The accusation was made by none other than the Bihar police in May this year.
The move later prompted the authorities to order an investigation into gulping of huge amount of liquor.
As per an official report, authorities seized around 900,000 litres of alcohol in the past 13 months since the total prohibition was enforced in the state in April last year.
They included 567,857 litres of foreign liquor and 310,492 litres of country-made liquor.
