Slip of tongue? BJP legislator terms PM Modi as ‘publicity crazy’, JD-U objects


PATNA: The BJP faced severe embarrassment today when its own party legislator accused the Prime Minister as being “publicity crazy”.

The bizarre incident took place in the Bihar Legislative Council on Thursday. Reports said while speaking in the House, the party legislator Suraj Nandan Kushwaha suddenly began cursing the “PM”, instead of CM.

He stopped only after the JD-U members drew his attention towards his mistake. The JD-U members also urged the vice-chairman to expunge his remarks from the House proceedings after which they were removed.

It was then that the BJP leader came to realize his folly and described it as his “slip of tongue”. Subsequently, he began hitting out at the chief minister in his speech by then it was late.
