Reports said heavy deployment of police forces has been made all over the town and the entire areas have been placed on maximum alert in view of possible protests by the supporters of Shahabuddin.

The authorities have also beefed up the security of Chandrakeshwar Prasad and Asha Ranjan and made heavy deployment of security forces before their houses as a preventive measure.

The apex court passed this order while responding to the petitions filed by Prasad and Ranjan who lost key members in the family.

While Prasad saw three of his sons killed in cold blood, Ranjan had her journalist husband Rajdeo Ranjan shot dead by criminals. Rajdeo worked for local Hindi daily Hindustan.

Both the petitioners in their complaints had accused Shahabuddin of plotting their murders from behind the bars and requested for shifting the accused politician to Tihar jail for a fair trial in the case.

“We have got the order copy of the Supreme Court and the order will be complied with very soon,” the local Siwan district superintendent of police Saurabh Kumar Sah told the media today.
