PATNA: A middle-aged woman was allegedly raped at a leading government hospital in Bihar on Saturday night, raising big question mark over safety of patients admitted there.
The horrible incident took place in the orthopaedic ward of the Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital in Bihar.

The hapless woman had come to hospital to treat her son who got his leg fractured but a hospital staff took her to an abandoned hospital room and allegedly raped.
The police have arrested the accused and further investigation is on.
“The victim said she was taken to a room and raped. We have registered the case and further investigation is on,” women police station in-charge Seema Kumari told the media today.
The incidents of rape has become a matter of grave concern in Bihar, and according to an official report, a total of 869 cases of rapes have been reported since January this year.
Last year, 1041 incidents of rape had been reported, followed by 1127 in 2014 and 1128 in 2013, according to a police report.
Similarly, 927 cases reported in 2012, 934 in 2011, 795 in 2010, 929 in 2009, 1,041 in 2008, 1,122 in 2007, 1,083 in 2006 and 973 in 2005—the year when the Nitish Kumar government first came to power in Bihar.
