‘Shake hands with BJP,’ MLA Anant Singh suggests Bihar chief minister

PATNA: A muscle-flexing legislator from Bihar Anant Singh has suggested chief minister Nitish Kumar to break alliance with Lalu Prasad and shake hands with the BJP.

“The development works have come to a standstill under the present grand alliance government in Bihar. In fact, entire system has collapsed. Hence, Nitish Kumar should hold talks with the BJP and join hands with the latter to bring development works back on the rails,” Singh who is Independent legislator from Mokama seat in Bihar told the media.

Singh made these observations in the assembly premises on Friday. Singh who is currently in jail has been granted permission by the court to attend the budget session of the Bihar assembly.

The jailed legislator infamous for his activities was previously with Nitish Kumar’s party before he resigned during the last assembly elections to contest as an Independent candidate. He won from behind the bars.
