PATNA: Several important files relating to fodder scam have mysteriously gone missing from the Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Department in Bihar.
Lalu Prasad whose RJD is a part of the ruling Grand Alliance government led by chief minister Nitish Kumar is one of the accused in the multi-million dollar fodder scam. He has already been convicted in one such case.

RJD chief Prasad along with other accused persons have again been directed by a Special CBI court in Ranchi to appear in person on June 13 in one of the fodder scam cases relating to fraudulent withdrawal of over Rs 33 million from Dumka treasury in now Jharkhand.

According to an FIR registered with the Sachiwalaya police station, the files were stolen after breaking open locks of three steel cupboards.
The incident took place in the last week of April but the case was registered 20 days later in May, according to media reports.
Most of the file are said to be related to financial irregularities.
Police have begun investigation in the case.
“Police have begun investigation in the matter and also appointed the investigation officer (IO),” the officer-in-charge of Sachiwalaya police station Amarendra Jha told the media today.
