More than 100 people were killed and 300 others injured after serial blasts ripped through three churches and equal number of five star hotels in Sri Lanka on Sunday.
The explosions rocked the island nation in the morning while the Easter Sunday masses were in progress.
The churches targeted for explosions include St Anthony’s Church in Colombo, St Sebastian’s Church in the western coastal town of Negombo and Zion church in the eastern town of Batticaloa, the Sun reported.
TV images posted on the social media showed the rubbles and blood on the ground of the blast sites and anxious people looking for their kin or helping victims of attacks.
It was not clearly known who carried out the explosions but the media reports say two of the blasts are believed to have been carried out by suicide bombers.
