PATNA: There appears to be no end of troubles for RJD politician Mohammad Shahabuddin, currently lodged in high-security Tihar jail.
In a latest development, the Supreme Court has asked the Patna high court to complete trials of cases pending against Shahabuddin within four months, as per a report in the local media.

In the light of this directive, all the cases pending against him are being listed for trial, reports said.
According to reports, the mighty politician faces a total of 75 criminal cases. Of them, he was acquitted in 20 cases and convicted in 10 cases. The remaining 45 cases are in different stages of trial.

Shahabuddin is currently lodged in Delhi’s Tihar jail. He was shifted to Tihar in February last on the directive of the Supreme Court.
