Sarpanch forces Bihar villager to lick his spit, uploads the video on Facebook

PATNA: In an incident reminding the “Talibani” horror, a Sarpanch in Bihar called a villager to his home and forced him to lick his spit over an old matter.

Sarpanch is a panchayat official empowered to dispose off petty cases at his own level.

The incident took place in Samastipur district.

Police said the Sarpanch Murari Jha called a villager Bhairav Lal Sah at his residence last week and imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on him for his past “mistake”.

When the victim expressed his inability to pay the fine, the Sarpanch ordered his men to beat him up badly with a bamboo stick.

As he sought pardon for his “mistake”, the Sarpanch asked him to lick his spit which he did.

The accused also made a video of the entire act and uploaded it on the Facebook.

The accused Sarpanch represent Bambaiya-Harlal panchayat under Dalsingsarai block of Samastipur district.

The local Samaspitur district superintendent of police Nawal Kishore Singh has registered a case against the accused and ordered for his arrest.
