Prakash Parv: Lalu ‘angry’ at not given place at the dais with PM Modi
PATNA: RJD president Lalu Prasad is said to be angry over not getting place at the dais during a function attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.
Modi was here today to attend a function organized at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan to commemorate the 350th birth anniversary of the 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh.
Prasad along with his two minister sons—deputy chief minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav and health minister Tej Paratp Yadav—had reached the venue well in advance to join the ceremony but was not given place at the dais.
However, leaders like chief minister Nitish Kumar, Ram Vilas Paswan, Ravishankar Prasad and Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind shared the dais with the PM Modi.
Prasad’s RJD is the biggest alliance partner in the ruling Nitish Kumar government with 80 members in the state assembly.
According to media reports, the RJD chief is hugely annoyed at his “neglect” and will be taking up the issue with the chief minister.
Reports quoting media sources said initially, the Union ministers too were not given place at the dais but secured their seats finally after PMO intervention.
