PATNA: A day after they addressed a massive rally of his party, Income Tax Department authorities today quizzed former chief minister Rabri Devi and her son Tejashwi Yadav in connection with alleged benami assets case.
Rabri Devi happens to be the wife of RJD president Lalu Prasad who already is facing charges in multi-million dollar fodder scam.
Reports said both rushed to the local IT office and recorded their statements before the authorities.
As per media reports, Tejahswi who was former deputy chief minister was quizzed for six hours while his mother was quizzed for over three hours.
News agency PTI reported that a special I-T team from Delhi had flown to Bihar capital to assist the IO of the case and take the probe forward.
Earlier the IT authorities had quizzed Prasad’s eldest daughter Misa Bharti and her husband Shailesh Kumar in this case.
Prasad, however, alleged these all is being done under political vendetta but they are not a bit nervous as they have been facing these for the past about three decades.
