“I am not supporting any political party by offering free tea; rather I’m personally happy over the demonetization drive,” Devi told the media on Thursday.

The Narendra Modi government launched the demonetization drive last month on November 8.

Federal finance minister Arun Jaitely said the demonetization drive had left positive impact on the economy.

“The impact of demonetisation on tax revenue and collection is already visible. There has been a 26.2 percent increase in central indirect tax collection till November 30,” Jaitely told the media today on the completion of 50 days of demonetization.
