Indian politician Pappu Yadav offers cash reward for sting operation on ‘drinkers’ in Nitish cabinet
PATNA: A Lok Sabha Member form Bihar, Rajesh Ranjan, more popular as Pappu Yadav, has announced to give a cash reward of Rs 25,000 to people carrying out sting operations on the ministers in the ruling Nitish Kumar government and expose their drinking habits.
The announcement comes a day after the Nitish Kumar government enforced a ban on the sale and consumption of liquor in the state and the lawmakers vowed in the Bihar assembly never to drink as a show of solidarity with the government’s decision.

“I promise to pay Rs 25,000 to each such slide shot,” Yadav told the media today.
Yadav who also happens to be the president of the newly-floated Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) had kicked up a major controversy earlier when he opined that the corrupt politicians like Lalu Prasad should be hanged or poisoned to death and then announcing to give a reward of Rs One Million to persons who kill corrupt official in public.
“Those who kill the corrupt officials or politicians in public should be given Rs One million while those who provide evidence against them will be rewarded with Rs 25,000,” was how Yadav told the media earlier this month.
He also proposed that the leaders like Lalu Prasad convicted in fodder scam should either be hanged or poisoned to death.
Further, he asked the Dalits and the poor to take up arms to fight atrocities. “If the government is not taking action against the bureaucrats and ministers who are robbing the masses, then they should shoot the politicians responsible for death of Dalit scholars like Rohith vemual,” he suggested.
Yadav who has developed a new penchant for controversies was elected on RJD ticket in the last 2014 LS polls but expelled from the party for his anti-party activities and controversial actions.
