Parmeswar lodged with thieves in Bihar jail, wants to be shifted to ward of Lalkeshwar


PATNA: Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) secretary Parmeshwar Ram accused of leaking question papers of a competitive exam has been lodged with thieves and pick-pockets at the Beur jail after his arrest, media reports said.

Reports said Ram is very disturbed after being kept with the anti-social elements and wants to be shifted to the ward where former Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) secretary Lalkeshwar Prasad is lodged. Lalkeshwar is alleged to be the mastermind of Bihar topper scandal.

As per reports, Ram asked the jail authorities to shift him to the ward of Lalkeshwar but his request was turned down.

The state government has already suspended Ram after his arrest in the alleged appointment scandal.

In a fresh development, the Special Investigation Team probing the question paper leak is now planning to quiz the BSSC chairman Sudhir Kumar.

The local media today reported that a detailed questionnaire is being prepared in the light of various facts that came to light after interrogation of accused persons.

The chairman was quoted as saying in the local as having no knowledge of the question paper leak. He instead said the leak could have been taken place at the level of treasury officers.
