Pakistani girl Priya Bachchani whose engagement with an Indian boy appeared to be in trouble in view of rising tension between the two countries along the border, has eventually reached India for marriage with her family members.
Normally, it’s the groom side which carries a marriage procession to the bride’s house but here in the case, it’s just the opposite.

Their marriage is scheduled for today evening. The girl reached India last evening after which their engagement ceremony was held in Jodhpur.
“My family members were disappointed after delay in grant of visa by the Indian embassy in Pakistan but I was quite much hopeful,” she told the media after landing in Jodhpur.
She thanked the media for raising their issue before the government.
Earlier, she was accorded a warm welcome by the groom side on her arrival in India as she danced her way into in-laws home.
According to reports in the local media, Naresh of Jodhpur had got engaged to Priya of Karachi over two years back after their families met through matrimony service.
Their marriage, however, appeared in danger as the relations between the two countries suddenly soured post terrorist attack at Uri in Kashmir in September and deteriorated further after India conducted surgical strike across the LoC in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, killing scores of terrorists.
As bride side ran from pillars to post for visas from Indian embassy, groom family sent requests to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj for help. Eventually, their requests bore fruits as their marriage is now set to become a reality despite prevailing tension between Indian and Pakistan.
