Taking a very strong stand against his fight for terrorism, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said those who support terror in any form are as much a threat to the world as the terrorists themselves.
“We agreed that those who nurture, shelter, support and sponsor such forces of violence and terror are as much a threat to us as the terrorists themselves,” the PM said while addressing the BRICS summit at Goa.
The PM said members of the BRICS nation vowed to work together and act decisively to combat this threat of terrorism.
“We were also one in agreeing that BRICS need to work together and act decisively to combat this threat,” Modi told media in his concluding media address at the BRICS Summit.
“We underscored the need for close coordination on tracking sources of terrorist financing; and targeting the hardware of terrorism, including weapons’ supplies, ammunition, equipment, and training,” he said.
He said India was happy to note the unity of thought and purpose on this serious global challenge.
The issue of putting global economy on track was also discussed during the meeting.
