PATNA: Former Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) secretary Harihar Nath Jha was today arrested by the police in connection with the topper scandal.
He was taken into custody after the police found some concrete evidence of his alleged involvement in the case.
Police have found his signatures on the many official files and admit cards.
For the past two days he was being interrogated by the police and he had to even pass his night in the local Kotwali police station.
With his arrest, the total number of people taken into custody has now gone up to 20.
The scam rocked last month when intermediate arts topper Ruby failed to answer basic questions in a TV interview and pronounced the political science as “Prodikal Science” which she said deals with cooking.
