Nitish visits Gaya road rage victim Aditya family 33 days after his killing, promises justice

PATNA: Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar today met the family members of Bihar road rage victim Aditya Sachdeva 33 days after he was killed in cold blood by the son of his own party lawmaker Manorama Devi.

Kumar along with party officials visited the Swarajyapuri Road residence of Aditya, a class 12 student, in Gaya district and consoled the victim family.

He also promised that justice would be delivered to them saying any accused however mighty they are would not be spared.

All the accused in the case Rocky Yadav who is accused of killing the teenager, Bindi Yadav, father of the accused and Teny Yadav, cousin of the accused are already in jail whereas Manorama Devi, mother of the accused, has come out of jail only two days back.

The lawmaker has already been suspended by the party leadership for allegedly helping her son flee the scene. The accused family too hails from Gaya.

Manorama, as such, was not directly linked to the case. She was only accused of keeping liquor bottles at home.

Aditya was shot dead by Rocky with his Italian pistol after he dared to overtake his Land Rover car while returning his home in Gaya from Bodh Gaya with his friends on May 7.

The charge-sheet in the case has already been filed and the speedy trial of the case is to begin very soon.
