PATNA: Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar has summarily rejected the demand by the IAS Officers Association for a CBI probe into the Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) question paper leak scandal.
The IAS body has been repeatedly making this demand right since one of their colleagues Sudhir Kumar was arrested by the Special Investigation Team of the Bihar police in the scandal. Kumar was serving as the BSSC chairman.

“Everybody knows how the CBI functions. We handed over the Brahmeshwar Singh Mukhia murder case to the CBI but the CBI probe is still there whether the Bihar police had ended,” the chief minister said addressing the meeting of the JD-U Legislature Party held at the residence of Shyam Rajak on Monday evening.
Lauding the functioning of the state police, the CM said the SIT had quickly cracked the cases handed over to it, whether it’s the intermediate toppers scandal or the BSSC paper leak case, adding he had never interfered in the investigation of the investigating police.
Kumar further dared the opposition to present any evidence of the alleged involvement of ministers or any leaders in the paper leak scandal to the SIT.
