Nitish kicks off ‘Mission 2019’ from Varanasi with a call for ‘RSS-free India’ and ‘liquor-free nation’
PATNA: Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar today kicked off his “Mission 2019” from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh by giving a call for “RSS-free India” and “alcohol-free nation”.
Varanasi, located on the banks on the Ganges, is the home Lok Sabha constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“We want ‘RSS-free India’ and ‘alcohol-free nation’. Please work towards achieving this task,” Kumar said today addressing the first workers’ convention of his party since taking charge as the new JD-U chief last month.
Seeking for a national campaign against liquor, Kumar declared how he had imposed a total ban on alcohol in Bihar.
“Now everyone is happy in Bihar…even habitual drinkers are happy,” he claimed, trying to make liquor ban as his party’s key election issue ahead of the next general elections.
He also attacked the Narendra Modi government at the centre for reneging from its pre-poll promise of providing Rs 1.5 million to every citizen.
“They promised to bring back black money within 100 days of coming to power and credit Rs 1.5 million to the bank accounts of every citizen but none has got a single penny so far,” he alleged.
