Newly-appointed Bihar Governor Chauhan lands in Patna, to take oath tomorrow
PROMINENT BACKWARD FACE OF BJP FAGU CHAUHAN ARRIVES PATNA BY A SPECIAL FLIGHT ON SUNDAY
PATNA: Newly-appointed Bihar’s Governor Fagu Chauhan was accorded a warm welcome on his arrival in Patna on Sunday.
Chauhan will take oath as the 40th Governor of Bihar tomorrow (Monday). He will be administered the oath of office by the chief justice of Patna High Court Amareshwar Pratap Shahi.
He landed at the Patna airport by a special flight this evening after which he was given a guard of honour at the state hanger. Quite many ruling party politicians and the officials were present on the occasion to welcome the Governor.
The first to welcome the new Governor at the airport was Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar. Scores of other politicians such as deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi and assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary also welcomed the Governor.
Chauhan, a prominent backward face of the BJP, is a former lawmaker from Ghosi assembly seat in Uttar Pradesh, which he has represented for record six times.
