PATNA: Justice Rajendra Menon was today sworn in as the new chief justice of the Patna High Court at a function organized in the Raj Bhawan.
Justice Menon was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Ram Nath Kovind.

Prominent persons, such as chief minister Nitish Kumar, Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav and Opposition leader Prem Kumar graced the occasion.
Justice Menon was the Acting Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court before his appointment as the Chief Justice of Patna High Court, as per reports.
Patna High Court Acting Chief Justice Hemant Gupta has been appointed as the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court.
