PATNA: Union Minister for Home Affairs and national BJP president Amit has made it clear that the next 2020 assembly elections in Bihar will be fought under the leadership of JD-U leader Nitish Kumar.
“The alliance between BJP and JD-U is rock solid. The NDA will go to polls under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. It’s is very clear,” Amit Shah told a news channel in an interview on Thursday.
Shah said both the parties were working under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the national level and that Nitish Kumar would lead the NDA in Bihar.
The clarification has come at a time when both the parties were engaged in bitter war of words over who will lead the NDA in the next assembly elections in Bihar.
The war of attrition between the two parties started when the JD-U came out with a new slogan “Kyun kare vichar, thike to hai Nitish Kumar”.
