Navjot Singh Sidhu refuses to quit TV shows after becoming minister


Chandigarh: Popular face in a comedy show on Television, Navjot Sidhu Sidhu, who has been appointed the minister in the newly elected Congress-led government in Punjab has refused to leave working on TV shows.

The former cricketer is a prominent face in a comedy show on television for years.

Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amrinder Singh while speaking to India Today, said that he would seek Advocate General’s advice to decide whether Sidhu could be allowed as per law to continue his television projects since he lacks knowledge in this matter.

Reacting to Amrinder Singh’s comment, Sidhu said: “I have quit IPL and nearly 70 to 80 percent television assignments. I perform the government duties between 9 AM and 6 AM. If I go anywhere after 6 PM and return by 9 AM whatever I do at night should not be the business of anybody.”

However Sidhu showed his respect towards Punjab CM and said that the Captain can never be wrong.
