PATNA: Days after Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal demanded that Prime Minister’s academic qualifications be made public, an English tabloid has claimed Narendra Modi was an above average student and obtained first class as a Post Graduate (PG) student of Political Science from Gujarat University.
“According to the information available with Gujarat University, Modi was an external student and completed his masters in political science with a score of 62.3 percent in 1983,” according to a report published in Ahmedabad Mirror today.
As per the report, the subjects Modi had studied in his two-year course were European Politics, Indian Political Analysis and Psychology of Politics.
“Mpdi scored 237 marks out of 400 in first year MA and 262 out of 400 in MA II. His total was 499 out of 800 marks,” the report said adding Gujarat University, however, has no information about Prime Minister’s Graduation.
Apparently, the selection of these subjects helped Modi learn the tricks of his trade as he first became the chief minister of Gujarat before finally getting the country’s top job after 2014 Lok Sabha elections where the BJP led by him itself got the majority winning a total of 282 seats out of 427 seats it had contested in alliance with various parties.
Earlier this week Delhi chief minister had demanded that the academic qualification of the Pm Modi be made public while accusing the Central Information Commission (CIC) of covering up PM’s academic qualifications.
Subsequently, the CIC asked the Delhi University as well as Guharat University to search for and provide information on degrees earned by PM Modi to the Delhi chief minister.
