PATNA: Angry villagers torched a police station in Bihar today after a man died in police custody.
The incident took place in Badhara in central Bihar’s Bhojpur district on Sunday.

Reports said the police had arrested a man identified as Ram Sajjan allegedly under the influence of liquor on Saturday.
According to complaints by the victim family members, the cops took him to the police station beating him badly.
At the police station as well, he was assaulted baldy after which he died, the family members alleged.
Once the news of his death reached the village, the angry villagers rushed to the Badhara police station where he had been lodged, ransacked it and also set the police station on fire, reducing the official records to ashes.
The mob also set afire the police vehicles. Reports said the seeing the bob fury, the cops fled the police station.
Reports said additional reinforcements have been rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control.
