PATNA: Maoists have owned responsibility for the killing of 10 CRPF commandos in Bihar saying this was a reply to the government-sponsored “Operation Green Hunt”.
“We will be demolishing the government’s ‘operation Green Hunt’ only this way,” a spokesman of the Maoists who identifies himself as Paramjeet told the media today.

He alleged the security forces were searching “our workers” since July 16 night and hence they carried the attacks in protest.

As many as 10 CRPF jawans were killed when the rebels triggered serial landmine blasts in the forested areas bordering Gaya and Auranagabd districts on Monday night.
The security forces had rushed there looking for them acting on intelligence in-put that rebels had assembled there in large number.
“Operation Green Hunt”, a war purportedly against the Maoist rebels, was believed to have launched in 2009 along five states in the “Red Corridor”.
The Maoist spokesperson has also admitted at least three of their “comrades” were killed in encounter with the security forces.
The Maoists also released the list of the dead with full address, a rare thing given the fact that such revelation is bound to bring troubles to the dead rebels’ families.
