Police said the accused Ramdhani Patel asked his son Chandan Kumar, a class 10 student enrolled in a government high school, to hand over the money to buy liquor but he refused to give saying it was meant for paying his tuition fee.
Enraged over his denial, man tied his son to a pillar before chopping him into pieces with a sharp-edged weapon.
As per report, boy’s maternal uncle had been sending him the money to pay his tuition fee every month. It’s this money which the victim’s father was eyeing to have liquor bottle.
“After a heated exchange of words, man tied his son to a pillar and slit his throat before chopping into pieces,” a local police official Nafis Ahmad said.
He added, “The police have recovered the severed body of the boy and sent it for postmortem”.The accused has been absconding after the crime.
The state government has imposed total liquor ban in Bihar since April this year.
