Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar meeting former Jharkhand chief minister and Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) president Babulal Marandi at the CM Secretariat in Patna on Friday. Both the leaders need each for their political survival. While Nitish wants the support of Marandi to get his party’s presence in the neighbouring state, Marandi urgently needs the backing of Bihar CM to end his ‘political vanvas’. At least, Nitish is more eager to join hands with Marandi to prove his leadership ‘charisma’ after RLD president Ajit Singh refused to merge his party with the JD-U in a severe embarrassment to Niitsh who is trying to get a foothold in UP where assembly elections are due early next year.
