PATNA: A prominent Left thinker has suggested the Left parties to change their poll symbols as well as the colour of the party flags saying they symbolize “violence”.
“The poll symbols of Left are hammer and sickle with blood red background. They symbolize violence,” left thinker CK Lal said at a function in Patna on Saturday.

He said the red background of the Left flags should be replaced by “green” which symbolizes Nature.
According to him, change in poll symbol and their colour is a must to enable the Left give challenge to the political parties.
Lal was here to deliver lecture on “20th century Socialism in South Asia”.
