PATNA: RJD president Lalu Prasad today blamed the RSS and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Gujarat incident involving flogging of some Dalits by cow vigilante group members a couple of days back.
In an open letter to the Prime Minister, he blamed it on Modi’s “campaign speeches centering round pink revolution, beef eating and other such sensitive issues” during the Bihar assembly elections.

“I feel sorry to say that the fire of such violence has been stoked by none other than you,” Prasad reminded.
He took a dig at the “BJP-RSS” people for raising the issue of cow protection.
“If the BJP and you really have love for the cow, then make a law mandating each of 78 ministers at the centre to keep cows in their bungalows and ensure their proper last rites after death,” he asked.
“Sadly, most of the ministers have fancy for pet dogs, and now cows,” he said.
He charged the Prime Minister with turning a blind eye towards such shocking incidents routinely talking place in the country.
