PATNA: Indian defence minister Manohar Parrikar has kicked up a new controversy by linking Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s reported tongue-trimming to his too much criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“In Delhi he speaks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and here (in Goa) he speaks against me. Due to this his tongue has grown big, and now it had to be trimmed,” PTI quoted Parrikar as telling party workers in Goa.
However, the defence minister sympathized with Kejriwal saying he is on “sick leave”.
The Delhi CM underwent surgery at a hospital in south Indian city of Bengaluru on September 13 for his chronic cough which has troubled him for our four decades.
According to doctors, he faced the problem for his rather long tongue.
“He (Kejriwal) suffered from an enlarged soft palate and uvula in relation to a slight increase in volume of the tongue,” a doctor was quoted as saying in The Times of India.
