“It’s very bad to get job with the help of money. It ruins the career of genuine and meritorious students,” Kumar said, urging the state government to deal severely with the accused persons so that they could not dare to repeat the crime again.

He said the government should crack down ruthlessly on such mafias like the one it did in case of liquor mafias by enforcing total prohibition in the state.

Kumar also asked the students not to lose hearts and be always alert to expose such things by bringing such matters to the knowledge of the government once they come to know about it.

The scandal surfaced this weekend, prompting chief minister Nitish Kumar to order a thorough probe into the matter.

Based on reports of the Special Investigation Team, the state government has cancelled the examinations.

The probe took a curious turn when the SIT arrested and jailed the BSSC secretary Parmeshwar Ram for his alleged involvement in the case.
