PATNA: An army man in Bihar shot dead his wife and sister-in-law from his service revolver being shooting himself dead in a running car on Sunday.
The incident took place on way to Patna while the man was being taken to a hospital for his treatment for depression.
Reports quoting local media and police said the army jawan Vishnu Sharma, a resident of Bhojpur district, had gone into depression after his treatment for dengue continued for long.
Today, he was being taken to a hospital in Patna for better treatment but as his car reached near Bihta town in Patna he suddenly took out his revolver and shot dead his wife and sister-in-law before shooting himself dead with the same firearm.
Hearing the sounds of fire, the driver hurriedly stopped the car and raised an alarm and it was then that the life of his two children could be saved.
Hearing his alarm, the local villagers rushed to the spot and overpowered the jawan and it was then that the life of the children could be saved. Victim’s two sons aged seven and six were accompanying the parents on the car to Patna.
The police have seized the car and the pistol used in the crime.
