PATNA: An official from the Indian state of Bihar has served a notice on Hindu deity, Lord Hanuman, asking him to vacate the temple soon or he would be compelled to initiate legal action against Him.
In the notice served by Ramji, additional divisional officer of Sone canal, Bikram in Patna district, the deity has been charged with “encroaching upon” the government land and building his “home” there.
“You are hereby directed to vacate the land soon or we will be compelled to take legal action against you,” reads the notice served to Hanuman.
The notice was served to the deity after He was found constructing his temple on the embankment of the canal.
Reports said the temple built some 40 years ago. Quite many persons like Hanuman too have been served notices for similar reasons.
