PATNA: A minister from the ruling Nitish Kumar government in Bihar has come under fire for reportedly distributing unpacked sanitary napkins to the girls at a health camp.
Minister for arts and culture minister Shiv Chandra Ram came in the firing line of the opposition after he was caught on camera distributing uncovered sanitary napkins to the girls of his state.

The said napkins were distributed at a health camp organised at Ganiyari village under Rajapakar block in Vaishali district a couple of days back where floods struck the village.
The local media has reported the conservative rural girls hesitated in accepting napkins from the minister in the presence of their parents but the latter showed no concerns for the girls as his eyes remained fixed rather on the camera.
Vaishali district magistrate Rachna Patil, however, has clarified the napkins were well “packed up”.
Angry Jan Adhikar Party leaders held a demonstration in front of the minister’s residence in Patna yesterday and sought the resignation of the minister.
