Uri: Security forces today gunned down at least 10 militants during an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Uri on Tuesday, barely a day after the town was hit by a terrorist strike on Sunday.
The Indian army jawans bravely foiled another infiltration bid by the terrorists.
The development comes barely a day after the Narendra Modi government held a high-level meeting over the issue of Pakistan-backed terrorism and reportedly decided to give befitting reply.
The Sunday terror attack at Uri army base had left 18 soldiers martyred.
Meanwhile, Pakistani troopers violated ceasefire again on Tuesday in Uri sector, reports said.
According to reports, 20 rounds were fired from small arms at the Indian post.
Indian force also retaliated, reports said.
