India creates history as ISRO sends record 104 satellites at one go

New Delhi: India today created history by launching a record 104 satellites on a single rocket from the spaceport in Sriharikota.

With this successful launch, India becomes the first nation to carry so many satellites in a single mission, reports said.

“PSLV-C37 / Cartosat-2 series Mission Lift off Normal as expected,” ISRO tweeted

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the ISRO scientists for this rare feat.

Hailing it as a ‘remarkable feat’, the Prime Minister said, “This remarkable feat by @isro is yet another proud moment for our space scientific community and the nation. India salutes our scientists.”

The Prime Minister also spoke to the secretary of department of space following the successful launch.

“Spoke to the Secretary, Department of Space and congratulated him & the entire team of scientists on today’s exceptional achievement,’ his tweet read.
