PATNA: Former JD-U president Sharad Yadav today rejected the formation of JD-U government with BJP in Bihar saying “It was violation of party’s five-year contract with the masses”.
He said although the new government has been formed in Bihar, he is with the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance).

“Gathbandhan ke saath aaj bhi khada hun (I am still with the Grand Alliance),” Yadav told the media at Patna airport shortly before leaving for his public interaction tour.
He wondered over the way two parties with different ideologies and manifestos contested against each other in the elections but joined hands together midway to form a new government.
“This never happened in 70 years of India’s political history,” he observed.
