‘I’m not a terrorist,’ says Tej as Modi shifts son’s wedding venue over thrashing threats

PATNA: As Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi changed the wedding venue of his son over reported threats, former minister Tej Pratap Yadav has come out with an interesting clarification.

Yadav who is elder son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad was accused of serving an open threat to Modi at a public meeting held last week.

“I am not a criminal or terrorist. Whatever I said at a public meeting should not have been taken literally. Sushil Modi should go ahead with the wedding without any fear,” Tej Pratap was quoted as saying by a TV news channel News Nation on Sunday.

His father Lalu Prasad also ridiculed Modi’s move to shift his son’s wedding venue, from Shakha Maidan in Rajendra Nagar locality of Patna to Veterinary Ground which is close to international airport in Patna.

“Tej Pratap had just made a hissing sound. And these people got so scared. They should go ahead with the wedding,” Prasad was quoted as saying in the local media today.

At a public meeting held in Aurangabad district last week, Tej Pratap had reportedly threatened to beat up Modi by entering into his house right during his son’s wedding itself.

“Modi has invited me to his son’s wedding. He has called to insult us. I will disrupt the wedding and thrash him,” he added.
