“Both I and chief minister Nitish Kumar have grown old. So, now, it’s time for young leaders like Tejashwi,” Prasad told the media on Friday.
He though added that Kumar right now is the leader of the Grand Alliance and that there should be any confusion over the present leadership.

Prasad’s comment comes barely a day after his wife Rabri Devi gave the statement to the media that the people of Bihar wants to see her son Tejashwi as the chief minister of Bihar.
She also supported the demand by a section of party leaders wanting to project Tejashwi as the future chief minister.
“In democracy, public is the real master and it is the wish of the people that matters. What people want should be done,” she was quoted as saying in the local media.
She later backtracked from her stand following objections from the allies.
