PATNA: Hours before a special court is scheduled to pronounce its judgement in a fodder scam case, RJD chief Lalu Prasad today said he had full faith in the judiciary.
“Hame nyay par pura bharosa hai,” Prasad told the media in Ranchi today.
He also exhorted the masses to maintain peace and law in the event of any adverse judgment.
Prasad along with a large number of party leaders is currently in Ranchi where the CBI is scheduled to pronounce its judgement in a 21-year-old fodder scam case.
The case pertains to fraudulent withdrawal of Rs8.45 million from a local treasury in Deoghar district in Jharkhand.
Apart from Prasad, former Bihar chief minister Jagannath Mishra and former parliamentarian Jagdish Saharma are also accused in the case.
Earlier in the day, Prasad’s co-villagers offered prayers at a temple in his native village Phulwaria in Gopalganj district, seeking divine intervention.
Prasad’s family members also offered prayers at their residence in Patna.
