PATNA: A woman engineer was allegedly burnt to death after being tied to a chair in Bihar, reports said today.
The horrible incident took place in Ahiyapur locality of Muzaffarpur district on Monday but was reported in media only today.

Police said the victim Sarita Kumari was posted as junior engineer with Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act in Muraul block of the district.
The incident came to light after one of her colleagues visited her rented house in the locality on Monday.
Reports said soon after he entered her house, he saw smokes coming out of the room and a stench smell filled up his nostril. He instantly informed the police.
Soon after getting information, the police rushed to the spot and recovered victim’s slippers, clothes and bones from the site.
Victim’s family believes she was tied to a chair before being set on fire. Police believe inflammable materials wwere used to set the victim afire.
The reason behind the murder is still not known. Police are investigating the case.
According to reports, the victim was living alone with her children as she didn’t have very good relations with her husband.
